Sochi Winter Olympics campaign / IG Group 2014For Norwegians, the Winter Olympics are like the World Cup and Super Bowl rolled into one. It’s the perfect advertising opportunity for a new brand to make a big splash. The most popular sporting event by far and away is the biathlon, watched by over half of Norway’s viewing audience – and practiced by nearly that many. The brief was simple: introduce IG to an audience unfamiliar with their product over four 7-second idents. A full campaign to support the idents was required including r/m banners, website and email. Outcome
New sales activity increased by 20%, along with decreased costs per acquisition.
